About Carlos Santisteban, Jr.

A lifelong resident of Miami, Florida, Carlos Santisteban Jr. has a deep connection to his community. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from St. Thomas University before continuing at the university’s School of Law, where he graduated with a Juris Doctorate in 2009.

Carlos gained valuable hands-on experience early in his legal career. During his first year of law school, he interned for a judge on the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade County, where he gained invaluable courtroom exposure. In his second year, he worked alongside a prominent criminal defense attorney in Coral Gables, where he became the lead research assistant for a case that would later be argued before the U.S. Supreme Court. In his final year, Carlos interned with the legal department of the Dade County Police Benevolent Association (PBA), eventually joining the organization as Staff Counsel after graduation. In this role, he represented police officers in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties on a wide range of legal matters.

Over the course of his legal career, Carlos has tried dozens of jury trials to verdict across the state of Florida. His extensive trial experience spans both civil and criminal matters, where he has earned a reputation for his skillful litigation and unwavering commitment to his clients. Carlos’s ability to effectively present complex cases in front of a jury has been a hallmark of his practice, and his courtroom successes have established him as a trusted advocate for those he represents.

Raised in his family’s car dealership, Carlos was exposed to all aspects of the business, from sales and finance to operations and administration. This extensive experience in the automotive industry has greatly influenced his legal practice, which has focused largely on automotive law.

Carlos resides in South Miami with his wife and two daughters. He is also dedicated to St. Thomas University, which he credits for providing him with an exceptional education. In 2015, he was invited to join the Board of Advisors to the Dean of St. Thomas Law School, and in 2024, he was honored with the position of Chair of the Board.
