Carlos Santisteban, Jr.

Born and raised in Miami, Florida. Attorney Carlos Santisteban, Jr., the head of CSJR Law, is a true son of Florida. Born and raised in Miami, Carlos understands the challenges clients face. He is proud to serve his community and works diligently to ensure that all those who seek him out receive the best legal representation possible.


Carlos received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from St. Thomas University. He also earned minor degrees in philosophy and religious studies, a well-rounded foundation used in his law career. Carlos stayed at St. Thomas University entering its School of Law and graduating with a Juris Doctor degree in 2009.

During his first year of law school, Carlos was honored to serve as judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Reemberto Diaz of Eleventh Judicial Circuit for Miami-Dade County, gaining valuable court experience. In his second year, Carlos worked under a prominent criminal defense attorney in Coral Gables. During this time, he earned the position of lead research assistant for a case that was later argued before the United States Supreme Court.

In his third year of law school, Carlos interned in the legal department of the Dade County Police Benevolent Association (the “PBA”). This lead to a position as Staff Counsel for the PBA after graduation.  As a PBA attorney Carlos represented Miami-Dade and Monroe County police officers in a variety of matters including:

  • Department initiated investigations
  • Arbitrations
  • Collective bargaining
  • Administrative disciplinary proceedings
  • Labor contract negotiations

As Staff Counsel for the PBA, Carlos gained an in-depth understanding from two perspectives - the side of law enforcement, and the side of those who wind up facing criminal prosecution.

Applied experience

Carlos’ family has been in the car business since 1973 in South Florida.  Naturally, Carlos was raised in and around the automotive industry. Carlos has actively participated in the management and growth of his family’s business, a business that has grown to be one of the top 500 Hispanic business in the country.
